Dear Foreclosure Prevention Pro Bono Project Volunteers:
Please consider volunteering for an upcoming Foreclosure Solutions Workshop on Sunday, January 10, 2009 in Baltimore City from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. hosted by CHAI and Jewish Community Services. Please register for this workshop by responding to this email. If you plan to volunteer at the workshop, you must be registered.
Occasionally we need to operate on a first-come, first-serve basis depending on the number of homeowners who pre-register for the workshop, but this is rare. Once we know how many homeowners have pre-registered a couple of days prior to the workshop, we will circulate an email to all attorney registrants to let them know whether they will be needed and to provide additional information about the workshop, including preparation suggestions.
Details about the workshop, and how homeowners pre-register for the workshop, appear below. Please pass along the below registration information to any homeowners who you think may be interested in attending. Pre-registration guarantees a free legal consult. Please ask homeowners to bring: (1) all paperwork related to current and former mortgages (including loan application, settlement paperwork and lender statements); (2) all foreclosure notices or threats of foreclosure received; and (3) information about monthly household budget (income/expenses).

Harvard Business School Executive Education, Business Strategy for Partners in Law Firms
Program Description:
In today's business landscape, corporations look to their law firms to be more than providers of standard legal services—they expect them to be trusted advisers and knowledgeable business partners. To meet these increased expectations, law firms need to be able to provide thoughtful guidance that accommodates not only the law but also the strategic direction of client companies.
This new Harvard Business School Executive Education program provides the business knowledge required to understand how clients formulate and execute strategy, and how law firms can add value in this process. The program offers the insights that mark the difference between a tactical provider of legal advice and a strategic business partner.
Dates: January 13 to 16, 2010
Location: Harvard Business School
Soldiers Field
Boston, MA. 02163-9986
Program Faculty:
The Harvard Business School Executive Education programs are developed and taught by a core faculty of HBS professors who are skilled educators, groundbreaking researchers, and award-winning authors. Faculty members for the Business Strategy for Partners in Law Firms program include Ramon Casadesus-Masanell, Robert G. Eccles, Lena G. Goldberg, Ashish Nanda, Felix Oberholzer-Gee, Robert C. Pozen and Dennis A. Yao.
Program Fee:
$7,750
