Maryland citizens can now turn to the Internet for information on many everyday legal issues. Facing life-changing situations without proper legal knowledge, such as finding a nursing care facility, selecting health benefits, choosing a lawyer, or appointing a guardian can lead many people to make rash decisions, sometimes with negative consequences. The Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA) helps you avoid the pitfalls of these situations with its excellent legal resource, the Legal Information Brochure Series.
These legal information brochures are now available on the Internet at MSBAs website, www.msba.org under the Public Resources link. The series includes 23 brochures with a wide variety of titles on common legal issues such as: Domestic Violence, Lawyers and Legal Fees, Divorce and Custody Mediation and When Do You Need a Lawyer as well as many others. You may now read the brochures in their entirety on-line. These brochures describe common legal situations not with legalese, but written in basic layman's terms.
These brochures are a free public service available to the community. For more information, call Jason J. Zeisloft at the MSBA at (410) 685-7878 ) extension 3028 order copies or e-mail Jason J. Zeisloft.
