MARYLAND'S BENCH AND BAR JOINTLY OBSERVE MOMENT OF SILENCE ON SEPTEMBER 11

On September 11, 2001, thousands of Americans lost their lives when terrorists attacked our country. On September 11, 2002, Maryland's Bench and Bar are jointly observing a moment of silence as a tribute to the victims of these attacks and all of the Americans who gave their lives in rescue attempts.

At 10:00 AM, Maryland's Judiciary will observe a moment of silence in courtrooms and offices as a tribute to those who were killed and those who lost loved ones as a result of the terrorists attacks.

The Maryland State Bar Association is asking all members of the state's legal profession to observe a moment of silence at 10:00 AM to commemorate the lives of the victims of the attacks and to reflect on all of the blessings our country gives us as Americans.

While this nation's resolve may have been tested, its commitment to the rule of law remains strong. As we pause to remember and pay tribute to the victims of 9/11, let us remember our pride and strength as Americans.
