FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - November 21, 2006
LEGAL ASSISTANCE BROCHURES
|
What should you do if you are in an automobile accident? What do you
do after you receive a traffic citation?
With many people traveling over the holiday season, it is helpful to
have information on hand for these and other situations. The Maryland
State Bar Association provides legal brochures that are able to answer
these questions, and are small enough to fit in your glove box.
These legal guides give consumers basic information about common legal
problems, so they will be better informed when dealing with issues
affecting their families.
The MSBA offers a series of 24 easy-to-read guides designed to inform
the public about common legal problems. The brochures help people buy
homes, file for workers’ compensation, understand complex health benefit
issues and deal with domestic violence. The pamphlets also help
consumers know what to do when you receive a traffic ticket, are in a
car accident or if they are arrested. Information about when you need a
lawyer, and when you don’t is also available.
The brochures are available on MSBA’s website,
www.msba.org, by clicking on public
resources. Anyone interested in receiving the brochures should contact
Jason J. Zeisloft at MSBA:
Jason J. Zeisloft, (410) 685-7878 extension 3028.
The Maryland State Bar Association is a voluntary, non-profit membership
organization comprised of more than 22,500 attorneys and judges. The
MSBA monitors judicial and legislative issues, offers legal education
opportunities and promotes leadership within the legal profession. The
MSBA offers public service programs to ensure the delivery of quality
legal services to all citizens and is committed to furthering the
