Annual Crab Feast
A
crab provides little food, so he is not so easy to eat. But the little
food he does offer is the best food under the sky. To eat crab you must
work, which makes you appreciate him more. He is the blessing, the
remembrance. And no man or woman ever ate

For the past seven years, the MSBA has arranged Annual Crab Feasts,
featuring two wonderful Maryland traditions: the epicurean delight of
eating crabs and an exceptional opportunity to share a collegial time with
bar members and their families from across the state.
This year’s Crab Feast was no exception. Approximately 380 MSBA members
and their family members traveled to the Solomon’s Island Yacht Club on
Solomon’s Island to enjoy this year’s event. The weather gods provided a
near perfect day, which is a real change for this rainy year.
Organizers extraordinaire Judge Dick Sothoron and Jim Nolan are to be
complimented for all of their efforts to arrange these pleasant events.
Sothoron has been 100 percent accurate with his annual predictions of a
“sold-out” event each year.
The Solomon’s Island Yacht Club, which was also the Crab Feast venue in
2000, received rave reviews again, and the Yacht Club members, under the
direction of Vice Commodore Bill Glascott, were extremely accommodating,
and hospitable.
A
day of good cheer and good food was enjoyed by all.
