2003 MSBA
CONFERENCE OF BAR PRESIDENTS

October 24, 150+
Maryland bar leaders gathered at the Holiday Inn Select Hotel at
Solomons
Island for the Annual MSBA Conference of Bar Presidents. Over this
three-day conference, representatives from most county and specialty
bar associations in the state, along with MSBA’s Board of Governors,
discussed key legislative concerns as well as contemporary issues
affecting bar associations. Highlights of the conference included an
informative legislative panel, a keynote address from Kim Keenan,
President-Elect of the National Bar Association, and programs geared
toward bar association leadership skills. The Honorable Lynne
Battaglia shared information from the Court of Appeals’
Professionalism Task Force, and Ward Coe, Chair of the Standing
Committee
on Pro Bono Legal Services, updated attendees on pro bono reporting.
