David S. DeJong has been elected as president of the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants 2003-2004.

Heneson Howard M. Heneson has become Of Counsel to the law firm of Christman and Fascetta, LLC. Heneson will handle business reorganization and Chapter 11 cases for the bankruptcy firm while continuing with his own consumer bankruptcy and general law practice.

Dawn Elaine Bowie has become Of Counsel to the Chevy Chase-based law firm of Thyden, Gross and Callahan, where she will continue to focus her practice on family law, including matters of divorce, custody and adoption.

Judge Marcella A. Holland has been appointed as the administrative judge for the Baltimore City Circuit Court effective November 8, 2003. Judge Holland will assume the administrative responsibilities of Judge Ellen M. Heller, who will not seek reappointment when her term ends on November 7.

Tobias Ober Kaler Immigration Practice Chair Geoffrey S. Tobias has been elected to the Board of Directors of Sail Baltimore. Founded in 1975, the organization has brought more than 400 international vessels to the Inner Harbor and Fells Point areas.

Dorothy R. Fait has been elected as presiding Chairperson of the Maryland State Ethics Commission. Also joining the Commission is Robert F. Scholz, managing partner of the law firm of Niles, Barton & Wilmer, LLP.

Cahn David L. Cahn has become an associate member of the Baltimore law firm of Lenrow, Kohn & Oliver, PC. He will continue to concentrate his practice in commerical litigation and business law with an emphasis on franchise and distribution relationships.

United States Congressman Chris Van Hollen has selected Mark T. McDermott as an Angel of Adoption.  McDermott, who will receive the award at an event hosted by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute on September 30, is an adoptive parent and a founding member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys.
