Harry S. Johnson

The Baltimore Community Foundation, which manages and distributes funds for
charitable purposes in the greater Baltimore region, has announced the election
of MSBA Past President Harry S. Johnson to its board of trustees. Johnson
is a partner in the law firm of Whiteford, Taylor & Preston LLP.

E. Scott Johnson, an intellectual property lawyer
in the Baltimore office of Ober Kaler, has become a Fellow of the Maryland
Bar Foundation, Inc.
W. Franklin Coppersmith, III, has received a Master
of Business Administration Degree from the Wharton School of the University
of Pennsylvania. Coppersmith is the Deputy General Counsel for Toppan Photomasks,
Inc., and lives in Round Rock, Texas.
Alan Robert Swendiman has been appointed to serve
as Associate Administrator for the Office of General Counsel in the U.S. General
Service Administration.

been elected to the Board of Directors of the Loading Dock, Inc. The nation’s
first successful, self-sustaining, nonprofit clearinghouse of reusable and
surplus building materials, the organization works to improve living conditions
for families, neighborhoods and communities while positively impacting the
environment.

Dino C. La Fiandra, a partner in the Real Estate Section
of the Towson office of Whiteford Taylor & Preston L.L.P., has been elected
to the Board of Directors of Children’s Home, Inc., a non-profit organization
that provides housing and support services for abused and neglected children
throughout Maryland.
Michael H. Delauter has been named managing principal
of Miles &
Stockbridge P.C.’s Fredrick Office. A business and transactional attorney,
Delauter concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial financing, general
business transactions and estate planning and administration.
The Law Firm of Peter A. Holland, P.A., has changed
its name to the Holland Law Firm, P.C. Benjamin H. Carney has joined
the Annapolis-based firm as a litigation associate.
The MSBA Real Property, Planning & Zoning Section has
named Morton P. Fisher, Jr., its 2004-2005 Distinguished Maryland
Real Property Practioner of the Year. Fisher has also been recognized in Chambers
USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, 2005 Edition, and The
Best Lawyers in America 2005-2006.
