The United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit has appointed MSBA
Lawyer Assistance Committee Chair Robert A. Gordon as U.S. Bankruptcy
Judge for the District of Maryland.

Kevin L. Shepherd, a partner in the Real Estate Group of Venable LLP,
was elected as a Fellow in the American Bar Foundation, which only selects
for membership the top third of one percent of the nation's lawyers.

M. Phelan of the Baltimore-based firm of Whiteford, Taylor & Preston,

Ober Kaler has promoted Elissa F. Borges, a litigator who represents

Faith D. Dornbrand and Elizabeth S. Morris have joined the
Divorce and Family Law Group of Pasternak & Fidis, P.C., as a shareholder and
associate, respectively.
