Past MSBA Presidents Paul D. Bekman and
Cleaveland D. Miller, along with MSBA’s Executive Director Paul V. Carlin
and many other exceptional MSBA members, have been honored with 2007 Daily
Record Leadership in Law Awards. On November 16, The Daily Record held its
seventh annual Leadership in Law Awards Luncheon at the BWI Hilton Hotel in
Linthicum, Maryland, honoring all 24 outstanding Maryland attorneys and
judges comprising the 2007 award winners.
Every year, The Daily Record pays tribute to 24 Maryland attorneys and
judges who epitomize the benchmark of success in Maryland’s legal community.
The Daily Record gives these awards to recognize successful members of
Maryland’s legal community who have devoted time and energy to bettering the
legal profession. These remarkable legal professionals have committed
themselves to improving the communities in which they live and work and have
played an important role in mentoring future professional and community
leaders. “We introduced these awards to raise the visibility and applaud the

MSBA’s 1987-88 President, Cleaveland D. Miller, was honored with the Top
Leadership in Law Award for his many contributions to the legal profession
over the years.
