MSBA Past President Pamela J. White has been sworn in as Circuit Judge
for Baltimore City. Formerly a chair for Ober Kaler's Employment &
Labor Group, White was also the firm's first female Partner.
MSBA Past President Harry S. Johnson, Partner with Whiteford, Taylor & Preston,
LLP, has been elected as Secretary of the Healthcare Board of Directors for
the Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC).
The University of Baltimore School of Law has awarded Charles O. Monk, II,
a Partner in the Litigation Department of Saul Ewing LLP, the Robert M. Bell
Award for Leadership in Public Service. Colleague Joyce A. Kuhns, a Partner
in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Department of the same firm, has been named
to the Class of 2007 for Leadership Maryland, a non-profit organization designed
to assist upper-level executives in critical state issues.
Cheri H. Dorsey, an Associate in the Trusts and Estates Group at Gordon,
Feinblatt, Rothman, Hoffberger & Hollander, LLC, has been elected to the Board
of Directors of Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA).
The American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) has appointed
William Boshnick, an attorney with Greenblum & Bernstein, PLC, as Vice-Chair
of the International Education Committee.
Paul W. Kim, counsel and member of Ober Kaler's Health Law practice, has
been elected as a member in the American Bar Foundation's The Fellows, a limited
group of one third of one percent of all lawyers licensed to practice in each
jurisdiction. Ober Kaler also welcomes back Jervis S. Finney as Of Counsel
to their firm following his stint as legal advisor to former Governor Robert
L. Ehrlich, Jr.
Venable LLP has announced that Harry I. Atlas, Darek S. Bushnaq, Edward S.
Evans, III, Michael A. Leber, Norman Lencz and David R. Warner have all been
elevated to partnership status.
Jennifer S. Lubinski has been elected to shareholder status by Lord & Whip,
P.A. She will continue her practice in individuals and businesses civil litigation.
