Roger C. Wolf has been awarded the inaugural Chief Judge Robert M. Bell Award for Outstanding Contribution by MSBA’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Section.

The American Bar Association’s Section of Business Law’s Consumer Financial Services Committee has appointed Catherine Brennan, an attorney with Hudson Cook, LLP, to a three-year term as Vice Chair of the Truth in Lending Subcommittee.

Danielle Stager Zoller, an attorney with Gordon, Feinblatt, Rothman, Hoffberger & Hollander, LLC, has been elected to the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood of Maryland, Inc.

The Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service has presented its annual awards for volunteerism. Linda Hudroge Carroll had been named “Volunteer of the Year” due to her services in Central Maryland, while Mary Ann Ferguson has received the “Ten-Year Award” for her lengthy service to MVLS clients. The “Educator Award” has gone to Sylvia Ontaneda-Bernales for her aid to Spanish-speaking Marylanders, and Matthew Mills has received the “Pro Bono Spirit Award” for his pro bono work in Wicomico County.

John E. Sandbower, III, a Past President for the Bar Association of Baltimore City, has joined the Maryland Panel of The McCammon Group, a mediation, arbitration and facilitation firm.

Miles & Stockbridge, P.C., has expanded its stable of lawyers with the addition of Joseph P. Ward as an associate in the life science, biotechnology and pharmaceutical practice, and the appointment of Jefferson V. Wright as the head of the litigation department.

C. Brian Carlin has joined Oppenheimer, Fleischer & Quiggle, P.C., as an Of Counsel in matters concerning real estate transactions, estate planning, estate and trust administration, and commercial transactions.

Gallagher, Evelius & Jones, LLP, has added Anne B. Fox, an employment law attorney, and Steven G. Metzger, a litigation attorney, as Associates.

Stark, Meyers, Eisler & Leatham, LLC, has added Megan M. Wallace to the firm as Counsel.  She has practiced in the areas of business and corporate law for the last 10 years.

The Baltimore office of McGuireWoods, LLP, was among the primary sponsors of the recent “Brian’s Baseball Bash” fundraiser benefiting the University of Maryland Hospital for Children. The event was hosted by Orioles Second-baseman Brian Roberts. McGuireWoods attorney Jennifer J. Stearman served as co-chair for the fundraiser.
