Jeffrey A. Wothers, Managing Partner at Niles, Barton & Wilmer, LLP, was appointed chair of Carroll Hospital Center’s Risk, Audit & Compliance Committee, which advises the Board of Directors on issues associated with risk for the hospital.

Jennifer Aist, an attorney in the Baltimore County Public Defender’s Office, was awarded the annual J. Earle Plumhoff Professional Attorney award by the Balitmore County Bar Association.

The Pennsylvania-based law firm of Thomas, Thomas & Hafer has opened its first, out-of-state office in the Sophmar Building at 6 East Mulberry Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21202. Michael H. Burgoyne, a Partner with the firm, will helm the new office.
