On January 1, 2011, new Maryland Rule 16-110 governing the possession and use of cell phones, cameras, computers, and other electronic devices in court facilities took effect.
Under Maryland Rule 16-110, if a cell phone, camera, computer or other electronic device is brought into a court facility, it is subject to inspection and may be used only in accordance with the Rule and the court's orders.
