Scott Suozzi has been promoted to Commander in the U.S. Navy JAG Corps and has been selected by the Navy to attend the University of Pennsylvania Law School for LL.M studies in International Law and The Wharton School for a business certificate.

Maryland Citizens for the Arts presented E. Scott Johnson, Ober Kaler’s Intellectual Property practice chair, with the 2011 Sue Hess Maryland Arts Advocate of the Year Award.

Danielle E. Howarth, a transactions lawyer at Gallagher Evelius & Jones, LLP, has been selected chair of the Community Law Center’s Board of Directors. 

Susan M. Erlichman was chosen for the Leadership Maryland Class of 2011. Erlichman is the executive director of the Maryland Legal Services Corporation.

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra named Richard Levine, a partner at DLA Piper, to their board of directors.

Christopher R. Dunn, a partner at the law firm of DeCaro, Doran, Siciliano, Gallagher & DeBlasis, LLP, was added as a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler, LLC, named C.J. Persson an associate in the firm’s Business and Tax Practice Groups.

Wendy S. Meadows was named partner at the former Law Offices of Kristine K. Howanski, LLC. The firm is now named Howanski & Meadows, LLC.

Debora Fajer-Smith, a lawyer at Joseph, Greenwald & Laake, P.A., was chosen as a fellow in the ABA’s College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers.
