KelehanKevin Kelehan received the 2012 Howie Award from Howard County Arts Council, a nonprofit organization that fosters the arts, artists, and arts organizations of Howard County. Kelehan, a partner at Carney, Kelehan, Bresler, Bennett and Scherr, was honored as an outstanding community supporter of the arts.

Jim Mathias was named a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Mathias is a partner at DLA Piper and chair of the firm’s  Baltimore Litigation department.

American University Washington College of Law named Gary C. Norman a recipient of its Peter M. Cicchino Social Justice Award for Outstanding Advocacy in the Public Interest. Norman’s recognition came in the catagory of “Alumna/Alumnus Whose Work is Primarily in the U.S.”

Anne Coventry, a partner at Pasternak & Fidis, P.C., was elected as a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.

The Tahirih Justice Center named Margaret-Ann F. Howie its Maryland Pro Bono Attorney of the Year. The Center’s mission is to protect immigrant women and girls fleeing violence. Howie is general counsel for Baltimore County Public Schools.

Pasternak & Fidis, P.C., added Alex Tanouye as an associate in the firm’s Estate Planning and Administration group.

CurranJohn Joseph Curran III, a partner at Saul Ewing, participated in the “Dancing Stars” Gala at The Alzheimer’s Association’s Memory Ball 2013. Curran and the other participants assisted the organization through raising money and awareness for those with Alheimer’s.

GordonMiles & Stockbridge, P.C., added Jeff Gordon as a principal.

Joseph P. Suntum, an attorney at Miller, Miller & Canby, was elected as the Maryland representative of the Owner’s Council America, a nationwide network of eminent domain and property rights attorneys that help landowners facing condemnation and related property valuation litigation.
