LawPay, a payment processor for the legal industry and a MSBA member benefit, recently announced several key enhancements to its processing program.
LawPay now features a Small Firm Program, which is designed to help reduce costs for firms processing less than 10 transactions per month. The program accepts all credit cards and requires no swipe.
Mobile payment options are also available on all LawPay accounts. Payments are accepted anytime using an iPhone, iPad, or Android device.
And LawPay accounts now include a full PCI Compliance Package at no additional charge. PCI stands for “Payment Card Industry”. When a firm accepts credit cards, it accepts the responsibility of protecting cardholder information. LawPay certifies that the transactions are processed securely, in compliance with PCI Security Standards. LawPay provides a comprehensive program to ensure each firm or organization is PCI Compliant through PCI Central (www.pcicentral.com). This is a benefit of your LawPay account and provided at no additional cost. For more information on security requirements, visit pcisecuritystandards.org.
Through April 30, Law Pay is waiving its $150 web-based terminal start-up fee. Additionally, it is waiving the program fee for three months.
A LawPay account is designed specifically for attorneys with the ability to properly separate earned and unearned fees. It gives firms the ability to accept payment by credit or debit cards in person, over the phone, by mail, Internet, or fax.
All MSBA members are eligible to obtain a LawPay account. MSBA, like many other state bars, endorses LawPay.
