Eric McLauchlin, an attorney at Shaffer, McLauchlin & Stover, was named the 2013 Maryland Attorney Advocate of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Baltimore Office.

Ober Kaler adds Catherine A. “Cathy” Martin as a principal in its Health Law Group.

Damon Orobona, an attorney at Miller, Miller & Canby, and his teammates representing Georgetown University’s Masters of Professional Studies in Real Estate Program received third place in The CASE completion during MIT’s annual Global Real Estate Forum. The competition required teams to prepare and present an abstract redevelopment strategy for Washington, D.C.’s  J. Edgar Hoover building, the current home of the FBI.

Alex Tanouye joined Pasternak & Fidis as an associate in the firm’s Estate Planning and Administration group.
