Donna E. McBride, a partner in Miller, Miller & Canby's Litigation practice, was appointed to the Standing Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure by the Court of Appeals of Maryland; she will serve a three year term. McBride is also a co-chair of the MSBA Judicial Appointments Committee and serves on the Executive Committee for the Montgomery County Bar Association.

Heather Swan, an attorney with Columbia-based firm Carney, Kelehan, Bresler, Bennett and Scherr, LLP, joined the advisory board of the Dancel Family Center Y in Ellicott City, MD.

Whiteford Taylor & Preston added Ari Ghosal to its Labor and Employment group in its Bethesda office.

Cory M. Silkman joined Tydings & Rosenberg LLP as an associate in its Litigation Department. Mr. Silkman assists clients in the healthcare field in their defense of medical malpractice, employment, and other claims.

Adam G. Smith joined Annapolis based Hyatt & Weber, P.A. as an associate. His practice includes representing victims in personal injury and medical negligence actions.

Gail D. Spielberger joined Snee, Mahoney, Lutche, & Helmlinger, P.A.  as counsel.  Her practice focuses on civil litigation, insurance coverage and defense, family law, and employment law.

Will Hellams, estate planning and probate attorney, joins Bethesda firm Lerch, Early & Brewer as an associate. Hellams works with clients on estate planning strategies to reduce transfer taxation, protect and preserve assets, and facilitate the transfer of assets among family members.

Jacob Cherry joined Klasko, Rulon, Stock & Seltzer, LLP’s Philadelphia office as an associate.

Catherine R. Lawrence joined Bethesda-based WKWilburn P.C. as an associate. Lawrence practices in federal and state government construction contracting, construction and commercial litigation, and insurance law.
