Law Day

Every year, MSBA's Public Awareness Committee celebrates Law Day, a time Americans traditionally honor the U.S. Constitution, the principles of law that guarantees our individual rights and our doctrine of liberty, justice and equality for all under the law. It hosts an educational conference to pay special tribute to our democracy.

Lawyers' Manual

Often called the attorneys' "Bible," the Maryland Lawyers' Manual is free to MSBA members and is updated annually. The most comprehensive directory of lawyers and law firms in Maryland including the complete listing for the Client Protection Fund and all MSBA members by county. The manual also provides information on Federal State and Local agencies.
(Associate Members are eligible to purchase at the member price and be listed in the Manual.)

Legislative and Governmental Relations

MSBA works with the Maryland General Assembly, as well as the Executive and Judicial branches of Maryland government to promote legislative and regulatory initiatives that are beneficial to the legal profession, and which facilitate the administration of justice. The MSBA Legislation and Governmental Relations Office issues legislative updates during the legislative session, and participates in bar/bench conferences.

Mailing Lists

The membership list of the Maryland State Bar Association consists of approximately 20,000 members. The list is available at a cost of $150.00 per thousand (or any portion thereof). This cost applies to organizations and/or members using our lists to promote sales and services (not CLE related) which would be income producing for that organization and/or member.

Media Relations

MSBA works with the media to promote a positive image of the legal profession. It issues press releases, hosts bar/bench/media conferences and handles day-to-day press relations for MSBA and its membership.

Mentor Program

The MSBA sponsors a pro bono Mentor Program to assist newer, less experienced members of the bar. This is a members only website. Lawyers from all over the state, in a variety of practice areas have volunteered to answer questions.

Public Awareness Brochures

The Maryland State Bar Association offers a series of twenty four easy-to-read guides designed to keep your clients informed about common legal problems. At 25 cents per copy, you cannot afford to be without the entire series. One complimentary copy is available for your examination.
Also available is a 6-compartment holder which you can use to turn your reception area into an information center for you clients. The brochure holder fits neatly on any desk or table top.
