Dues

MSBA calendar year runs from July 1 thru June 30.

Note: Dues are determined by the attorney’s first admission in any state.

New Admittees who have not been previously admitted to any state bar will receive free of charge the first eight months of their membership in the MSBA including 3 sections and the Young Lawyers Section from the month you are admitted.

December New Admittees will receive their 8 months free membership from December thru July and will be billed from August thru June at a prorated amount of $68.75 for their base dues.

June New Admittees will receive their 8 months free membership from June thru January and will be billed from February thru June at a prorated amount of $31.25 for their base dues.

Annual Dues for attorneys admitted to any Bar less than five years are $75.00 and for attorneys admitted to any Bar five years or longer dues are $125.00. Annual Dues are due July 1 of the current fiscal year.

For new members joining the MSBA after January 1 of the current fiscal year, Base Dues are prorated in half for the balance of the current fiscal year. Attorneys admitted to any Bar less than five years the dues are $37.50 and for attorneys admitted to any Bar five years or longer the dues are $62.50.
