Resolution of Fee Disputes Committee

The Maryland State Bar Association Courthouse Identification Badge is available to any attorney who has been admitted to practice law in this state, who is currently a member of the bar in good standing, and who is currently certified by the Court of Appeals as an active practitioner.

Mentoring Program

The MSBA sponsors this program to assist newer, less experienced members of the bar. It provides a resource for attorneys to seek and receive advice or discuss concern about law office management, escrow accounts, procedural issues and many other topics.

2011/2012 ANNUAL REPORT:

This Committee is composed of an Executive Council consisting of a Chairman and seven Vice Chairmen, and includes a membership of over 100 members, who volunteer to act as Client Representatives and Arbitrators. Its Executive Council meets about four times per year to vote on the disposition of cases. The Committee currently has 16 active cases. In the past 12 months, nine disputes have been settled: two in favor of the client and seven in favor of the attorney.
