Courtroom Badges
The Maryland State Bar Association Courthouse Identification Badge is available to any attorney who has been admitted to practice law in this state, who is currently a member of the bar in good standing, and who is currently certified by the Court of Appeals as an active practitioner.
Mentoring Program
The MSBA sponsors this program to assist newer, less experienced members of the bar. It
provides a resource for attorneys to seek and receive advice or discuss concern about law office management,
escrow accounts, procedural issues and many other topics. |

2011/2012 ANNUAL REPORT: |
The Membership Committee focused on two events to bring the benefits of the MSBA to the maximum number of
Maryland attorneys – a “Speed Networking” Event in Columbia, co-sponsored with the Young Lawyers Section, and
the co-sponsored Leadership Academy Anniversary CelebrationI – as well as a non-member mailing to attorneys
in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, in an attempt to gain additional membership. It also
worked continually towards two other recurring events: presentations at local and specialty bars to increase
membership in the MSBA, as well as programs performed in conjunction with the Maryland law schools to
encourage students to participate early in their legal career. |
