MSBA MINORITY CONFERENCE
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION 2009-2010
The MSBA is committed to promoting the participation of minorities in the legal profession. The MSBA Minority Conference Scholarship program seeks to encourage and provide financial assistance to minorities in the legal profession who seek to become more involved in the ABA, MSBA and to develop their leadership skills. To be considered for the scholarship, please complete and return the application by the listed deadlines.
The scholarship award recipient(s) will receive partial funding via reimbursement of expenses of up to $500 to attend either an ABA Mid year or an ABA Annual meeting. The recipient will be required to attend the National Conference of Bar Presidents (NCBP) conference which takes place in conjunction with the ABA meetings. Any remaining expenses are the responsibility of the scholarship recipient. If selected as a scholarship recipient and in order to receive the partial reimbursement of expenses, you must submit a written request for reimbursement of up to $500 within 30 days of the conference end date and include a copy of the supporting receipts (i.e. conference travel expenses, conference hotel expenses etc.) and a written summary (at least 250 words) of what you gained from the experience of attending the ABA/NCBP Mid year or ABA/NCBP Annual meeting.
