Mediator Quality Assurance Project Moves Forward
Last spring, MACRO’s Mediator
Quality Assurance project held five forums around the state to get input from
mediation practitioners and users on what they would like to see in a mediator
quality assurance plan. Meetings were held regionally and for the three
practitioner organizations in the State, including the ADR Section of the Bar.
Since that time, the Quality
Assurance Oversight Committee has taken all of the feedback from those forums
and from other responses, such as e-mails and fax back forms, and attempted to
create a concept for Mediator Quality Assurance that fits the most common
themes. In September, the Committee held a one-day retreat to discuss those
issues and create a concept. That concept will now be taken back out to
mediation practitioners and users for additional feedback.
Please consider attending one of
the regional forums or the practitioner form to give your opinion about the
concept and to ask questions. Forums will be held as follows:
