Special Committee on Construction Law

The Maryland State Bar Association Courthouse Identification Badge is available to any attorney who has been admitted to practice law in this state, who is currently a member of the bar in good standing, and who is currently certified by the Court of Appeals as an active practitioner.

Mentoring Program

The MSBA sponsors this program to assist newer, less experienced members of the bar. It provides a resource for attorneys to seek and receive advice or discuss concern about law office management, escrow accounts, procedural issues and many other topics.

Join our LinkedIn Group "MSBA Construction Law Committee"

In November, 2009, the MSBA approved establishing the Construction Law Committee of the Real Property Section as an independent committee of the Bar. This move is to better include the many construction lawyers who are litigators and to increase the profile of the Committee to the membership of the Bar. The Committee sponsored a kickoff reception on January 21, 2010 with about 40 people participating. At that meeting, the Committee distributed a summary of recent case law and proposed Maryland legislation as it did last year. The Construction Law Committee is planning additional meetings with educational programs in March and May as well as a general construction law program for judges and practitioners at the MSBA Annual Meeting. Efforts will continue to be made to reach out to many construction lawyers who have not been active to promote more networking among those practitioners. The Committee will also seek to provide programs and educational materials that are relevant and useful to construction law practitioners.
