Oak Crest v. Murphy
The opinion of the Circuit Court voiding the Oak Crest contract provisions barring asset transfers and granting summary judgment for the Appellee was upheld.

The purposes of the Elder Law Section are:

  1. To bring together members of the Maryland State Bar Association interested in Elder Law;
  2. To promote the continuing legal education of the bar in Elder Law;
  3. To sponsor Elder Law publications for the benefit of the bar and the public;
  4. To work on a cooperative basis to improve the law and promote the interest of the public and the members of the bar in Elder Law; and
  5. To promote the delivery of free or reduced fee legal services to the low income elderly.

Section Information:

Section dues are $15.00 annually.
