Public Service Opportunities
Sixty Plus Legal Program
The Elder Law Section co-sponsors the Sixty Plus Legal Program (preparation
of simple wills, advance directives, and deeds for seniors with low
and moderate incomes) and the Medical Assistance Long Term Care
Representation Program (representation of individuals improperly
denied nursing home Medicaid coverage).
The Sixty Plus Legal Program, for all parts of the state except Baltimore County, Baltimore City, and Montgomery County is administered by The Legal Aid Bureau's Maryland Senior Legal Helpline. Lawyers who want to volunteer to help seniors in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, or Montgomery County should call the local bar association of that jurisdiction (see phone numbers below). Lawyers who want to volunteer in all other counties should call William Stokes at 410-951-7766 or 1-800-999-8904 ext. 7766.

Long Term Care Medical Program
The Long Term Care Medical Program provides pro bono representation
and assistance to individuals whose applications of Medical Assistance
long-term care have been denied. Periodic training, materials, and
