Sixty Plus Legal Program

The Elder Law Section co-sponsors the Sixty Plus Legal Program (preparation of simple wills, advance directives, and deeds for seniors with low and moderate incomes) and the Medical Assistance Long Term Care Representation Program (representation of individuals improperly denied nursing home Medicaid coverage).

The Sixty Plus Legal Program, for all parts of the state except Baltimore County, Baltimore City, and Montgomery County is administered by The Legal Aid Bureau's Maryland Senior Legal Helpline. Lawyers who want to volunteer to help seniors in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, or Montgomery County should call the local bar association of that jurisdiction (see phone numbers below). Lawyers who want to volunteer in all other counties should call William Stokes at 410-951-7766 or 1-800-999-8904 ext. 7766.

Seniors who want to obtain services should call:
in Baltimore City - (410) 539-3112,
in Baltimore County - (410) 337-9100,
in Montgomery County - (301) 279-9100, and
in all other counties - (410) 951-7760 or 1-800-999-8904 ext. 7760.
Be sure to ask for the Sixty Plus Legal Program when you call.
