2010/2011 ANNUAL REPORT

This Section sponsored environmental law-related programs, including panel discussions and keynote addresses given by leaders in the fi eld of environmental law. It provided opportunities for its members to interact and network with colleagues during events such as its Annual Dinner and a service-oriented program. The Section also sponsored an educational outing on the Chesapeake Bay for Section members in conjunction with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. It will, for the second consecutive year, co-sponsor a panel discussion with the Real Property, Planning & Zoning Section at the MSBA Annual Meeting.

PURPOSE

The purpose of the Section of Environmental Law is:

A. To bring together members of the Maryland State Bar Association interested in environmental law;

B. To promote the continuing legal education of the bar in environmental law;

C. To sponsor environmental law publications for the benefit of the bar and public; and

D. To work on a cooperative basis to improve the law and promote the interest of the public and members of the bar in environmental law.
