The Award recognizes

to the practice of family law, exemplifying the highest professional standards
during a distinguished career.

Past recipients include Retired Judges Katie
O’Ferrell Friedman and John F. Fader II. Senator Sharon Grosfeld received
the Award in 2004.
The Beverly Groner Family Law Award was created
to provide a vehicle for highlighting the importance of family law to our
community, and to celebrate those who improve family law practice in our
state. It is named in honor of the late Beverly Ann Groner, the Maryland
family law practitioner whose long, distinguished career featured chairing
the state commission which researched and drafted the present Marital Property
Act and Alimony law.
