Section Council Meeting Minutes
December 8, 2003
Meeting was held in Baltimore
Present at the meeting were Ben Boscolo, Frank L Lipshultz Mike Steinhardt,
Nancy Harrison, Commissioner Patricia G Adams, Don Benter, Richard Teitel,
Mike McAuliffe, Ray Hertz, Monica Meyers Turnbo, Wally Kleid.
Announcements: The legislative liaison for the MSBA Buzz Winchester has retired.
The Practice Pointers for Workers Compensation Commission practitioners is
needed by Chairman Ben Boscolo. He would like at least two from each member
of the section.
The MICPEL Hot Tips in Workers Compensation will be held on Friday March 19,
2004
The Spring Outreach program of the Negligence Section will be held on April
19, 2004 in Columbia, Maryland. The program will be handling issues in Pain
Management. An attempt will be made to have a representative of York Pain Management,
Dr. Kathleen Fink. Commissioner John R Webster, Ray Hertz (plaintiff counsel)
Frank L Lipshultz (defense counsel).
The June Solo day program will be held in Ocean City and the presentation will
be on Closed Head Injury. Ben Boscolo (plaintiff counsel) and Bob Hetherington
will be asked to handle the defense.
The next meeting will be January 12, 2004 at the Far East Restaurant in Rockville.
Commissioner Thomas Patrick O’Reilly will be the featured speaker.
