Section Council Meeting Minutes
September 30, 2002
Meeting was held in Baltimore MSBA Headquarters at 6:00pm
Present at the meeting were Nancy Harrison, Chair Ben Boscolo Chair Elect,
Frank L Lipshultz Secretary, Richard Teitel, Ted Cornblatt, Mike McAuliffe,
Wallace Kleid, Mike Steinhardt, Ray Hertz.
A. Old Business/Minutes
Welcome new members - Amy Glaser, Monica Meyers Turnbo
Comm'r Teitel leaving as Comm'n representative. His seat will be taken by
Commissioner Mark Vincent.
B. Communications (Newsletters, MSBA Pamphlets, etc.)
Michael Steinhardt is working with Patrick Tandy at MSBA re What to do in
Case of an Auto Accident pamphlet.
Michael Steinhardt is looking for contributions for the section Newsletter.
Jury Instructions Nancy Harrison and Frank L Lipshultz will be working on
supplementing the pattern jury instructions for Workers Compensation.
C. Legislation None at this time.
D. Programs
1. Section Program - spring (MICPEL Hot Tips is in April)
2. Annual Meeting the program will be held in Columbia and the topic will
be examination at trial of an accident reconstruction expert. Direct and
Cross Examinations to be conducted by experienced litigators. We will secure
an expert Ray Hertz to contact or supply a name.
E. New Business
A seat was available for another member on the section council and will
be filled by Richard Teitel.
F. Meeting Schedule
Next Meeting October 28, 6:30 pm Rams Head Inn Annapolis
Following Meeting, December 2, Baltimore Little Italy.
