The Real Property, Planning and Zoning Section Program at the Maryland State Bar Annual Meeting
 

More than 60 members of the Real Property Section attended the Section’s Annual Meeting Program at the Clarion Hotel in Ocean City Maryland in June.  Michelle DiDonato moderated the educational program that provided valuable information on various real estate topics.  Bruce Brown, Esq. spoke on age restricted housing.  Marjorie Corwin, Esq. gave a RESPA update and discussed affiliate business arrangements.  Ronald Deutsch, Esq. spoke on the new notice requirements for foreclosure actions and the “Protection of Homeowners in Foreclosure Act”.  Theresa Burian Shea, Esq. presented a legislative summary for the 2006 session, which is included below.   All speakers conveyed valuable information in an informative manner.

At the Business Meeting portion of the Annual Meeting Program, Lawrence A. Shulman, Esq., a partner of Shulman, Rogers, Gandal, Pordy & Ecker, P.A., was awarded the Distinguished Maryland Real Property Practitioner for 2005-2006.
