2011/2012 ANNUAL REPORT:

This Section, open to MSBA members age 60 and over, held bimonthly noontime meetings, providing members with lunch, followed by a short business meeting and an interesting speaker, ranging from former Governors to a U.S. Senator, the serving Attorney General, and book authors. It sought to publicize its activities and encourage as many as possible to attend Section programs by both e-mails and notes to members. The Section will bestow its “Senior Lawyer of the Year” at a special dinner held in May.

PURPOSES:

The purposes of this Section are to uphold the honor of the Profession of law, to apply the knowledge and experience of the profession to the promotion of the public good, to instill in younger members of the Bar the ethical standards of the profession, to provide to the members of the Section speakers and information on timely topics and to encourage social interaction among the members of the Section.
