ESTATE & GIFT TAX STUDY GROUP

The Estate & Gift Tax Study Group is open to members of both the Taxation and Estates and Trusts sections of the MSBA. With some exceptions (e.g., the first two meetings this year), the meetings are generally held on the second Thursday of each month beginning in October of each year, and conclude in June of the following year. The meetings convene at 12:30 p.m. for a light lunch, followed by the featured speaker. The meetings are held on the Fourth Floor of Tower I of the Bank of America Building, located at 100 South Charles Street in Baltimore.

The co-chairs of the Study Group for the next two years are Danielle M. Cruttenden, a partner in Merrill & Cruttenden, P.A., and Laura L. Johnson, an associate at Gordon, Feinblatt, Rothman, Hoffberger & Hollander. The dates, speakers and topics for the 2001-2002 meetings are set forth below, with the exception of the June meeting which will be scheduled at a later date:
