On December 8th, Baltimore Association of Baltimore City's Young Lawyers’ Division (YLD) held its 77th Annual Holiday Party. More than 150 lawyers, judges and guests attended this magnificent event at the Penthouse Suite at Silo Point, which featured live music from an acoustic guitarist and a Silent Auction. Proceeds from the Silent Auction were used to help fund the December 13, 2011 Young Lawyers' Division’s Holiday Party for Homeless Children. The Young Lawyers’ Annual Holiday Party for Homeless Children was a huge success. Held at the Maryland Science Center, children from area shelters were treated to the Center’s exhibits, along with a delicious dinner, a magic show, face painting, balloonists, a juggler, a photo booth, and arts and crafts. Special appearances were made by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and her Animal Abuse Task Force (including one of their dogs, Ruby Doo), DJ Lil Black from 92Q, the Oriole Bird, and Santa Claus. Each child received a picture with Santa and a holiday gift. In 2012, YLD will continue to host its Breakfast with the Bench CLE’s and make presentations at local law firms highlighting BABC membership benefits. Upcoming events include:
