ProBono Resource Center of MarylandPro Bono Resource Center of Maryland (PBRC), the “pro bono arm” of the MSBA, serves as the statewide coordinator of volunteer legal services. In order to fulfill its commitment to promoting equal access to justice in Maryland, PBRC recruits, trains, supports, and refers volunteer attorneys to legal services providers throughout the state according to each volunteer’s personal interests and location preference. Attorneys have a wide range of volunteer opportunities, including direct representation, brief advice clinics, hotlines, mediation, mentoring, and training services. Substantive trainings are offered as live classes and via webcast at NO COST or a reduced fee in exchange for a pro bono commitment in a variety of topical areas, including:
