The MSBA is excited to launch our brand new online discussion platform, MSBA Connect! This new tool will replace the current Email Discussion Lists (more commonly referred to as the MSBA’s ListServs) as we modernize our online presence. MSBA Connect will provide members with a more functional and reliable means of connecting with each other well into the future.
Members of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section can access MSBA Connect right now. Make sure you’re logged in with the email you use for your MSBA account and click the button below. You’ll find detailed FAQs and “How-To” videos to help you get started.
A Guide to Alternative Dispute Resolution Processes
Can you remember a day in your life where you did not experience conflict? Probably not. Conflict just happens, and it shows up in all the ways we, as human beings, interact with each other. Our society places a lot of value in resolving conflict by going to court. There are many ways to resolve conflict instead of through court. Those other ways are currently called alternative dispute resolution processes.
The MSBA Alternative Dispute Resolution Section encourages the Courts and lawyers to incorporate alternative dispute resolution (ADR) into their systems and practices; actively engages in the work of the ADR Commission; and monitors state and national legislation and proposals on uniform confidentiality rules and unauthorized practice of law.
