Rather than set specific goals as she ushered in 2018, Kelcie Longaker “decided to focus on a single word: grateful.”

“I tried all year to be grateful for the challenges and opportunities I encountered this year, and to cultivate a grateful attitude,” explains Kelcie, who, indeed, had much to be grateful for. In May, she joined Offit Kurman, P.A. as a Principal in the firm’s Maple Lawn office, and was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for the fifth consecutive year. Moreover, MSBA President Judge Keith R. Truffer appointed Kelcie to one of his key initiatives, the MSBA Strategic Vision Committee, which is presently addressing the Association’s course over the next five to 10 years.

On a more personal note, she also had a chance to tour Yellowstone National Park while visiting her parents at their Wyoming home. “My dad is a great tour guide,” she notes. “He knows all the highlights that are not on the map!”

Travel also factors into Kelcie’s plans for the coming year. “In 2019, I’m taking a trip to Greece with one of my best friends for our birthdays.”
