In this simple, powerful technique, you take long, slow, deep breaths. This is also know as diaphragmatic or belly breathing.  Breathe in through your nose to the count of 5, hold for 5, and breathe out to the count of 10 through your mouth or nose.  Focusing on this simple breathing technique helps you disengage your mind from distracting thoughts and sensations.
