The non-partisan Forums offer voters and colleagues in the legal profession an opportunity to learn candidate positions on the most pressing issues facing the state and legal vocation. The discussions and forums can be viewed by clicking on the links below at the scheduled time (and available below on-demand after that time).
The Democratic Forum will take place in-person and via livestream at 7:30 p.m. on June 1, 2022, at the Legal Summit in Ocean City.
Dick Uliano, WTOP Washington broadcast and digital journalist, will moderate with Pamela Wood, who covers Maryland politics and government for The Baltimore Banner. The MSBA invited all Republican and Democratic gubernatorial candidates to participate in these Forums. The Republican Forum will follow on June 27, 2022, at the University of Maryland (Baltimore County).
MSBA will have a virtual discussion with Republican candidate Kelly Shulz via livestream at 7:00 p.m. on May 31, 2022. Note that MSBA invited all Republican candidates to participate but several opted out with little notice, and accordingly, MSBA will invite all Republican candidates to join in a Forum on June 27.
