Join the MSBA Family Law Section for its annual presentation of Family Practice Update, which will be virtual, on Tuesday, August 8th, 2023 at 9 a.m. 

The speakers will discuss the most recent appellate cases impacting family law, including such topics as alimony, marital property/monetary awards, dissipation, tracing, business valuation, bigamy/annulment and laches, child custody, de facto parenthood and legal parents’ consent, third-party custody and awarding custody to a parent who murdered the other parent, doctrine of parent-child immunity, contempt, post-nuptial agreements and “lump sum” penalty provisions, attorneys’ fees, appeals, as well as other issues. They will also address the impact of recent
legislation on the practice of family law, including no-fault divorce, spousal sexual assault and child abduction. This CLE is always highly informative, well-attended, and the materials alone are essential to any family law practitioner.
