2016/2017 Annual Report:
This Committee worked to enhance the professional development of the legal community and promote the benefits of MSBA membership by providing high-quality CLE programs and publications in a variety of media formats and at a reasonable cost. It oversaw the publication of nine legal treatises over the course of this bar year, including an all-new Maryland Employment Law Desk Book and a brand-new Maryland Civil Pattern Jury Instructions, which hadn’t been newly published for almost a decade. The Committee produced 30 CLE seminars, which were also webcast and offered online on-demand. It also established a plan for a workshop that will enable younger attorneys to learn good presentation and authoring skills, in the interest of developing a talent pool to support the MSBA’s current faculty and authors.
