MSBA’s Solo and Small Firm Practice Section is excited to welcome Lanny Davis, Esq., as the keynote speaker for the section’s signature event, the Solo and Small Firm Summit, on Day 4 of Legal Excellence Week! The Summit begins on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 9:00 a.m at the Live! Casino & Hotel in Hanover, Maryland.

Davis, who served as Special Counsel to President Bill Clinton and served on the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board under President George W. Bush, will offer insight into managing publicity for cases while maintaining attorney-client privilege.

Additionally, other top faculty will instruct attendees on innovative and practical approaches to running their own law firm, including advising them on financial planning strategies that can increase their firm’s success and how to use modern technology and communications systems to help their firms run more efficiently.

You can register for the Solo and Small Firm Summit here.

People who register for the Solo Summit can also access the new Ethics, Professionalism, and Civility Symposium, which runs simultaneously. Both programs will close with an entertaining session from Joey Novick, The Improvisational Lawyer, illustrating how improv skills can help attorneys succeed in trials, mediations, and business transactions.

The day will wrap up with a reception where attendees can network with colleagues and celebrate the return to in-person events!

Make sure to register for Legal Excellence Week as well to ensure that you do not miss out on any other programs or benefits! The MSBA’s 2022 Legal Excellence Week offers close to 40 hours of learning and unparalleled networking opportunities, and the weekly pass for Legal Excellence Week is free to MSBA passport holders.
