Beginning on Monday, October 17, 2022, the Maryland Electronic Courts (MDEC) case management system will be implemented in Prince George’s County. When MDEC launches next month, electronic filing will be mandatory for attorneys representing clients in civil and criminal cases in District Court, circuit courts, and for any appellate filings that originate in Prince George’s County. Electronic filing remains optional for self-represented litigants.

MDEC is now available in most Maryland counties and allows attorneys to transition from a paper-based process to technology-based electronic filing.

Mark your calendar for MDEC hybrid training!
