David Shapiro

MSBA President David Shapiro has joined McMillan Metro Faerber, P.C. as a partner, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Shapiro is known primarily for his expertise in business/corporate law and transactions and healthcare law and transactions, spending the majority of his time representing businesses and professionals in business sales and acquisitions, employment law, health law and transactions, and professional licensing matters. Often seen as a business advisor and legal counselor, Shapiro’s diverse client base ranges from small startups to large, well-established corporations.

With a distinguished career spanning more than 25 years, Shapiro has earned many accolades and awards for his contributions to the legal profession and his community. In addition to serving as the current President of the MSBA, Shapiro has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America, a Top Attorney by Bethesda Magazine, an Influential Marylander, and, most recently, as the 2023 Top Leader in the Law by the recipients of The Daily Record’s 2023 Leaders in Law Awards. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Bar Association of Montgomery County, and actively leads and participates in a number of community events and organizations, currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of Hearts & Homes for Youth.

Mr. Shapiro earned his J.D. from The Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America and is admitted to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
