For 125 years, the Maryland State Bar Association has served as the home of the legal profession, focused on supporting and elevating the profile of over 42,000 legal professionals around the state. We continue to serve our members and the public by connecting with important leaders around the state and talking about the issues that matter to you. This election cycle, we connect with the candidates for Attorney General, Lieutenant Governor, and Governor, among others.

On May 31 and June 1, join the MSBA as we host apolitical Republican and Democratic gubernatorial candidate forums, moderated by Baltimore Banner reporter Pamela Wood. MSBA has invited all Republican and Democratic gubernatorial candidates to participate in these forums and several have already confirmed attendance. MSBA does not endorse or rank political candidates.

Why are we holding these forums?

  • Offer voters and colleagues in the legal profession an opportunity to learn candidate positions and make informed decisions on the most pressing issues facing the state and the legal profession.
  • Convene MSBA members from around the state and connect them with local leaders.
  • Maintain MSBA’s connection to all branches of government to advocate on behalf of the profession. We strengthen our partnership with the Executive Branch through these forums and continued engagement.

How can you participate?
