Advanced Training in Mediation Ethics: Unconscious and Implicit Bias

The MSBA is offering an all virtual Advanced Training in Mediation Ethics: Unconscious and Implicit Bias on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 10 am to 12 p.m.

This training has 3 objectives:

  • To define and explore the concept of bias;
  • To understand the impact of selected bias types on mediation practice; and,
  • To develop “take-away” insights for application in mediation practice.

This 2 hour experiential training will comply with the continuing education requirements for Maryland circuit court mediators, and the Maryland Program for Mediator Excellence (MPME). Together, trainers Ellen Kandell and Barbara Williams have over 45 years of legal experience as practicing attorneys, mediators, trainers and professors. 

Two hours of MCLE including ethics credit will be offered from the surrounding MCLE states.If you miss the livestream, it will be available on the MSBA CLE catalog
