In this presentation, we will discuss the differing perspectives and roles of all stakeholders in the Special Education process, including Individualized Education Plans (“IEPs”) and 504 Plans. I will review each the major education laws, review steps needed prior to the IEP or 504 process, and compare IEPs with 504 Plans, including the eligibility requirements of both. We will review different scenarios for discussion.
